How the clinic team works

Dental ClinicConfigurationClinic Team

Clinic Administrator

What you need to know about your colleagues’ accounts and the window where you set their access.

A colleague has one of the roles Reception, Medical Assistant, Doctor or Medical Coordinator; what each role can do is described in Rights and roles. Ticked, Clinic Administrator comes on top of the role: the colleague also runs the clinic, for example alongside their work at reception.

With the Doctor or Medical Coordinator role, the colleague appears in the agenda, in the Doctors list. Procedures that require a specialty go only to the doctors who have it in Specialties. Color is the doctor’s colour in the agenda and on the odontogram, and in Stamp and Signature you put the image printed on the estimates they sign. The Working Schedule field starts with the clinic’s schedule: choose the doctor’s own there (see Doctors’ working schedules).

When the clinic has several practices, the colleague’s window also has the Practices field, in the Access section: choose there the practices the colleague works in. In the Work section, the Job and Schedule table takes the place of the Job Position and Working Schedule fields, with one row for each practice chosen. You can give access only to the practices you work in yourself; otherwise Digiodent shows “You can add people only to your practices.”. New practices are added by Digiweb. When the clinic has a single practice, the window shows none of this.

The medical coordinators receive an email when a colleague is given the Doctor or Medical Coordinator role, when a password reset is sent to them, when their email address changes and when their account is deactivated or reactivated.

You cannot remove your own administrator role: Digiodent shows “Your own administrator role is removed by Digiweb.”. Nor can you deactivate your own account: your row has no Deactivate. The accounts through which Digiweb runs the app do not appear in Clinic Team.

The account of a doctor who still has appointments ahead cannot be deactivated: Digiodent shows how many there are and asks you to move them to a colleague or cancel them, then deactivate the account.
